The Maine Franchise Owners Association held a “Lobster Bake” fundraiser for Camp Ketcha on Friday October 17th. The event raised over $3,000 net dollars for Camp Ketcha.
Camp Ketcha is a year-round non-profit organization serving the southern Maine community with programs in child development, family enrichment and summer day camping. Camp Ketcha has 107 acres of meadows, forests, streams and wetlands which are enjoyed by the campers. Camp Ketcha strives to get children, youth and families outdoors to appreciate what nature has to offer.
Camp Ketcha is a member of the Maine Franchise Owners Association as a franchisee of a national franchise of Camps across the country based in Kansas City.
Franchisees and family members joined the staff of Camp Ketcha for a Lobster Bake fundraiser. This is the first time Maine Franchise Owners has held a fundraiser for one of its non-profit members. The Chairman of the Maine Franchise Owners Association Ed Wolak, stated, “it is such a pleasure to help raise money for Camp Ketcha a franchisee member of our association. It is such a beautiful spot and it offers the community a full, fun and exhilarating camp experience.”
Tom Doherty Executive Director of Camp Ketcha is very supportive of the Maine Franchise Owners Association, “I have learned a lot from them about franchising and other similar relationships; these are issues that are important to us and to our community, and staying informed will help Camp Ketcha in the long run.”
Mike DaRosa a Dunkin Donut franchisee in the area stated “I am pleased to be able to support a fellow member of the Maine Franchise Owners Association. Camp Ketch delivers such a variety of options for families in the surrounding communities.”
